For today’s Wedding Wednesday post, let’s talk about Registry Etiquette. If you’re wondering how to get the word out about where you’re registered, the best way to go about it is through your close family and bridesmaids. Have your mother, bridesmaids or other relatives get the word out for you. It’s also appropriate to include this information on your wedding website and on your bridal shower invites, but it’s not okay to put it on your wedding invitations.
Think outside the department store:
I spoke before about non-traditional ways of asking for gifts. You don’t have to be tied down to a store for a gift. In a previous post I talked about asking for a wonderful piece of art by Jerome Hershey in Lancaster! You could also set up a travel registry for your honeymoon trip or any large item. Most brides and grooms have the necessary household goods needed to get started, so don’t be afraid to ask for something a little different.
