So we’re trying out a new concept called “Wedding Wednesday.” Each Wednesday we will be blogging about  a wedding-related topic. This advice  is from our fabulous Accomac Catering event designer, Charlene, who comes to us from Baltimore, where she was an event designer for one of the premier event design companies in the Baltimore MD-Washington DC area.  She brings her creative expertise and fine attention to detail to design the perfect event for you and your guests!

Today’s post is about champagne toasts.

To be honest about it, the majority of champagne poured at a wedding is thrown out. Champagne (as lovely as it can be) is often an item overlooked when it comes to quality. Most couples don’t want to spring for good champagne. The truth is, you shouldn’t have to. You’ll find guests happier toasting with whatever drink they have from the bar.

If the newlyweds want to splurge for a bottle of Dom, go ahead but spare your guests unless you know for sure you have a champagne drinking crowd. If that’s the case, be sure to pay for an upgraded champagne that your guests will enjoy.

Happy Wedding Wednesday! What are your thoughts on having a champagne toast?
